Even with Caye Caulker’s laid-back island lifestyle, there are several festive events throughout the year.

During Easter, the island is usually busy with locals as well as visitors. During this time of extended holidays, there are several social activities, in addition to religious services.

Caye Caulker is probably most famous for its Lobster Fest in July. To celebrate the opening of the lobster season, people flock to the island to enjoy a feast of lobster dishes.

During the month of September, Belizeans all around the country celebrate, and Caye Caulker is no exception. National celebrations are held throughout the month, ending with Independence Day celebrations on September 21.

During the month of December, the island celebrates Christmas and New Year’s. In addition to religious services and social gatherings, visitors can enjoy fireworks and celebrations to bring in the new year.

Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy other festivities as well as boat races and other events. Check this site regularly to find out about current events.
